cindy + dean married

Cindy and Dean were married atop the SS Sicamous in Penticton, BC. It was a hot August day with the hum of summer all around. S+D wanted their day to be simple, elegant, and focused on the celebration with family and close friends.

To take advantage of every minute with their guests, they opted for a first look in the gardens beside the boat. It was a sweet moment where they could begin their day together.

Cindy chose a beautiful tea-length dress perfect for an Okanagan summer wedding, with the accent of sunflowers for her bouquet. We walked the garden, we walked the beach, and enjoyed the shade of the boat deck.

They were married overlooking Penticton, had a fabulous dinner by Joy Road and finished it off with a sweet treat by Wouda’s Bakery.

Thank you two for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful, love filled day.

pauline + brad getting hitched

The time has come for Pauline + Brad to celebrate their relationship. It’s no secret that these two are completely in love and have been for many years now. Their commitment to each other started long ago, but a month from now, they get to officially become husband and wife.

In preparation for that, I took P+B out for a mini engagement shoot. They were actually engaged quite some time ago,  so this shoot ended up being a night where they could just be in each other’s arms and get excited about the upcoming wedding.  We ended up getting a little wet in the rain, but it didn’t matter. These two kept each other nice and warm for our walk through the park!

I’ve known Brad for many, many years. He and I went to our high school graduation together, corsage and all. He has always been a great friend, and I couldn’t be happier to see him with Pauline. She is this beautiful, adorable,  smart woman with an energy that lights up from within. I can see so clearly that Brad is completely taken with her and will love her for the next forever. And she with him.

I am so thankful that I was able to do these portraits for you. Mostly because I just loved the opportunity to spend this time with you. I wish you both so much love for your wedding day and all the days that follow… xo

claire + brad married

Claire and Brad were married standing on a moss-covered hillside in the beautiful forests of Victoria, BC.

With their most dear family and friends surrounding them, they promised their love to each other. The rain had subsided, the air had calmed, and they shared a moment that they will remember forever.

Claire was the most stunning bride, in her custom-made Kathryn Bass dress, standing alongside the beautiful women that made up her bridal party. She was ready to marry Brad, and the time had come.

They celebrated with a toast, and began an evening of dancing, laughter, good food and wine that lasted late into the evening. Their wedding planner, Franziska, had done an incredible job fulfilling their dreams of creating an enchanted evening, full of love and warmth. With chandelier’s hanging from the trees and beautiful florals draped over hand-made benches and stumps.  The amount of love that went into this wedding –  the hand-made chairs from Claire’s father + Brad’s daughter for each of the flower-girls + ring-bearer, to the poem, written and shared by one of Brad’s colleagues. It was a magical night that I will not soon forget.

Thank you two for inviting me to be a part of this day. I hope these photos will act as the avenue to bring back all the beautiful memories from that day, and perhaps even provide to you a glimpse into the moments that you were not witness to. I am so lucky and thankful to call you friends, and I send you all the love in the world.

Christina + Mike + baby

2 weeks from today is the due date. The due date for my very first niece or nephew to arrive into this world!

There aren’t words to describe how excited I am for my big sister to become a mother. She has been an inspiration to me, she is my best friend, my confidant, my kindred spirit. And to be there to support her through her pregnancy, and now through the final stages as she brings this little one into the world… truly, no words.

I was lucky enough to steal an evening to capture her beautiful self and her amazing husband, Mike. Thank you two for letting me be the one to capture these images for you. It is my honour, and I cannot wait to meet the little bean!

2 weeks and counting!
