I was honored this past weekend to be invited to help celebrate the grand opening of Caldwell Heritage Farm in Kelowna. Kristi and James Caldwell, along with their adorable two littles, hosted a very special soiree to commemorate the opening of their farm. A place where you can soak in the beauty of the serene surroundings, you can enjoy viewing the amazing heritage collection of farm equipment and so much more. If you like things vintage, you will be in awe of this place. Kristi’s dad was the curator, and did such an amazing job of creating something very unique, which K+J have organized and beautified, so they can share it with all their visitors.
And before you leave the farm, you can take advantage of the U-Pick Fresh Farm Eggs! So fun to get in there with the chickens and pick your own eggs. Yes, they have boots. You can also U-Pick their herbs and garden goodies as well.
And then I can’t not mention the thing that I am most excited about (being a wedding photographer – of course!). They are going to be hosting ceremonies for weddings in their gorgeous gardens. And you can do this as of tomorrow! Today! It starts right now. And know that this place is amazing. So serene. So beautiful. A photographers’ and brides’ dream.
Thanks so Mint Julep for the incredible cocktails during the evening. Ryan and I enjoyed ours fully (along with the adorable drink tickets, designed by Dandelion Willow) and the beauty bar florals by Lavender and Lace.
The owners, Kristi and James saying a few lovely words of thanks to those who have helped them make this dream come true. And then a little close-up of James’ still – brandname on the equipment is Hillbilly Stills. hehe. Love that. Can’t wait to taste the goods that come out of his craft distillery…
I know, a bit pose-y. hehe. But the light was INCREDible, and Ry wouldn’t let me take a photo of him, so he took one of me. And then we turned around and looked back at the house… So beautiful.
The eggs… and the ladies! So good! And just to reminisce on one of my fave shoots to date, our beautiful styled shoot last year with Be Marry Events (when the baby chicks had just arrived!). Check out the full blog post HERE. This farm is something of a dream for me. I have had the opportunity to shoot there 4 times now, and still feel so inspired and haven’t had to shoot the same spot twice. Thank you Kristi and James for inviting me onto your beautiful property and letting me share in it with you. I know you are going to do amazing things and I am so excited to be here, able to watch your farm flourish and grow.
