Sara + Blair Married

Laughter rang through the house as Sara and her best friends finished getting ready for the day. Sara sat in Jenny’s chair, getting the final touches on her make-up. The girls all took a moment together to remind each other how much they all mean to each other. The love  and appreciation I felt between this beautiful group of women was such a special moment. There is no better way I can think of starting one of the best days of Sara’s life.

The dress hung in the window, and when she was ready, the girls helped her into her gorgeous gown, and sent her to see her soon-to-be-husband.

Blair was waiting for Sara outside, as they wanted to have a quiet moment together before the festivities and celebration began. As Blair turned around, his face filled with emotion and love.

And those feelings lasted throughout this perfect day. The ceremony took place on the edge of Okanagan Lake with the sun overhead. After they shared the most beautiful (and oh so funny) vows, they kissed, they signed, they cheered, kissed again, and were ready to break out the bubbly.

It was a backyard bbq like no other. Fantastic food, great drinks, very entertaining speeches, crazy games and tasty cupcakes! Doesn’t really get much better than that.

Thank you Sara + Blair for asking me to be your photographer. It was such  an honor, and I hope these photos bring back all the beautiful memories of your day.

Kim + Bryan Married

The Naramata Inn was buzzing with energy this past Saturday. Kim and Bryan were preparing to get married, and their guests awaited their time to join in and help these two celebrate!

Kim prepared in the Champagne Suite with her most closest of ladies. The details were taken care of, all of her support was here, and all that had to be done was to put on her beautiful wedding dress and find her groom.

Bryan waited for Kim underneath the trees, and when she arrived, his face lit up with pride, with gratitude, and with so much love. Their first look was such a special, quiet moment that would prepare them for one of the best days of their lives.

They were married at Legend Distillery, looking over the beautiful Okanagan Lake. The sun shone overhead with a slight breeze in the air. It was the perfect day to celebrate K+B.

After a few signature cocktails, we strolled through the most beautiful lavender farm, with the soft scent of the flowers surrounding us. It seemed like a dream to have this most gorgeous bride and her doting (and quite handsome too) husband by her side. But like all dreams, it had to end, but thankfully the day took us right back to The Inn to celebrate over amazing food, good drink and in wonderful company.

Thank you two so much for inviting me to be a part of your day. I hope these photos bring back many of the beautiful moments that made up your wedding day.

Without further ado, Let the story begin…

Leah + Brian Married

Whether it was the rain, the sun, the wind, or all of the above, nothing was going to stop this amazing celebration. Leah + Brian were married this past Saturday on the bluffs overlooking the beautiful summer-town of Penticton.

Even though the sky was threatening all day, we ended up with a gorgeous day being a mixture of everything. Yes, there were a few sprinkles just as the appetizers began to arrive, but everyone snuggled a little closer under the rooftops for a few minutes, and then the rainbow appeared, setting the stage for an incredibly special evening.

The intimate celebration was held on the gorgeous lawn of Leah’s parents’ home, overlooking Okanagan Lake. Leah looked stunning with a delicate floral crown and amazing Truvelle gown. She and Brian said yes, while surrounded by their closest family and friends.

With fabulous food, good drinks, tasty doughnuts, laughter, and a few tears created the perfect recipe for a night to remember.

Thank you two for inviting me to be a part of such a special day, and I wish so much love to you as husband and wife. xo

christina + greg engaged

They grabbed a plane for the weekend and flew from Edmonton to Kelowna for a chill weekend of wedding details and a little engagement session with me.

Up till this point, we had only chatted on the phone since Christina + Greg are from out of town. I was excited to meet them and find out what they were like! And I will say, if C+G lived in the area, I would be wanting to hang out and share some wine, because I truly adored my time with them. They were so sweet to me, so willing to go, sit, stand, snuggle, walk, come back, go again, etc, etc, etc. And more importantly, I had the opportunity to see their relationship with each other, which was so lovely. They were so real with each other, a little goofy, super love-y, supportive and totally into each other.

Thank you two for taking time out of your weekend to walk around the Naramata Bench with me, and I hope you enjoy your photos as much as I do!

So sweet and so cute!A little goofy fun, but leaves always make a photo session a good time…My favorite of the day, and probably the last frame from our Red Rooster Winery stop…
